Smart. Sexy. Rich. Homicidal. What’s not to like?

Lana falls so hard for Cherry, it’s as if she had never been in love before. From their very first date, they can’t keep their hands off each other.

But Lana is not the good girl her parents hoped for, she’s something else entirely: a remorseless 450 year-old killing machine in a hot 21 year-old body.

And when the bullets start to fly, Lana will do whatever it takes to protect the girl she loves.

Tapper gives an interesting and different insight to the makeup of the vampire, and I enjoyed seeing something new. It took some time to see where the story was going, but once it really got on point I didn’t want to put it down.

This was an erotic read with a pulp fiction feel to it. It may not be for every reader, but I would give the second book a shot.

Having read the first two novels from J.W Tapper (‘The Truth About Kate Hayes’ series), I thought I knew what to expect from this, the first of his latest series. To some extent I was right – it’s got all the sordid and steamy trademark scenes that characterised those books, but in a fully fleshed-out vampire horror tale with a film-noir kind of approach to story telling. It’s an unavoidable cliché, but definitely one of those books that is very hard to put down. I don’t let the price of a book influence my opinion of it, as it doesn’t impact how enjoyable the book is, but at this price, it really is a steal. If adult vampire erotica even remotely piques your interest, do yourself a favour and pick up this book, and tell your friends in the pub. Just don’t order the Midnight Cocktail.

A friend suggested this book to me, as it’s not a genre I usually read. This is the first in J W Tapper’s new vampire erotica series.
The book is a compelling, fast paced read. The high points for me are the fresh and imaginative ‘sex with violence’ scenes.
Having read this book I can recommend the lavish globetrotting vampire lifestyle.

Expertly written adult fiction with an urban fantasy twist – I’m looking forward to a second book in this series.

Brilliant. Tapper’s trademark believable characters and entertaining dialogue, but faster, classier and much more violent. Think vampires, but with a Mike Hammer twist and a bit of The Matrix thrown in. The rock music backdrop also adds real atmosphere. A future cult classic. Long live Lana.
